China's export underwear quality will be well documented in the future

The Handbook on Quality and Safety of Exported Underwear, co-edited by the Foreign Trade Department of the Ministry of Commerce and the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textiles, was recently completed.

The quality of export products has always been one of the common concerns of countries in Europe and America. In recent years, China's export products, especially consumer products, have been frequently hit by quality problems in European and American markets, which has caused tremendous pressure on exports, and underwear products are our country. One of the main products of textile and garment exports is also a product closely related to consumer safety. The problem of underwear products not only affected the normal export of Chinese companies, but also greatly damaged the image of “Made in China” in the international market. However, there is no specific guidebook for the quality and safety of underwear products exported in China. It can not help companies understand the issues of foreign quality, environmental protection standards and testing procedures.

To this end, the Foreign Trade Department of the Ministry of Commerce and the Chamber of Commerce for the Import and Export of Textiles jointly developed the "Guidebook for the Quality and Safety of Exports of Underwear Products" so that enterprises can better understand the technical regulations, standards, conformity assessment procedures, and consumer warnings of major importing countries and regions in the world. Give full play to the role of guidance and early warning, reduce the adverse effects of foreign technical barriers on my overall textile and apparel exports, help enterprises to raise awareness, improve their own production quality management status, establish advanced enterprise quality management system, and then promote enterprise production technology Level, comprehensive competitiveness and awareness of social responsibility.

The main contents of this manual include: Overview of the production and export of China's underwear products; the quality and safety of underwear products and the warning of consumers in major markets; China's export of underwear and domestic related textile materials, ecological textile quality inspection standards and enterprise management system standards; Relevant technical regulations, standards and testing procedures of importing countries and regions; relevant suggestions and industry measures.
