The Census Bureau reported that at the end of February 2011, textile mills had a total inventory of 151,000 bales. According to the report of the U.S. Census Bureau, in February 2011, the domestic cotton mills consumed an average of 14,300 bales/day. It was lower than the 14,400 packages/day last month, but higher than 12,900 packages/day in February 2010. The total monthly consumption in February (4 weeks) was 288,000 bales, which was higher than the 287,000 bales in the previous month (5 weeks) and 259,000 bales in February 2010 (4 weeks).
