Silver can be used to kill bacteria, and antibiotics can also be used to kill bacteria. What are the characteristics of silver?

First, broad spectrum

Most antibiotics are only effective against several bacteria, even broad-spectrum antibiotics kill only 10-20 different bacteria. Moreover, most antibacterial antibiotics do not kill fungi/yeast, parasites or viruses; antifungal antibiotics are ineffective against bacteria, viruses, parasites and the like.

Silver is unique among antimicrobial drugs due to its broad spectrum of action. According to the 1978 American Science Digest, silver can kill 650 different pathogens. Unlike antibiotics, silver is the “destructor of equal opportunity”, which effectively kills various bacteria (G+ and G-bacteria, spore-forming bacteria), fungi/yeast, viruses, mycoplasma and parasites without distinction.

Electrolyzed colloidal silver kills many bacteria, including Providencia striata, a bacterium that was resistant to all antibiotics except amikacin in the 1970s. Second, efficient, quick-acting

Very low concentrations of colloidal silver can kill a variety of yeasts/fungi, including Candida albicans, Candida parapsilosis, Candida tropicalis, Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Aspergillus niger, and the like. 2.2 ppm of colloidal silver (per million parts of water, 2.2 parts of silver) kills paramecium. Colloidal silver is also effective against poliovirus in swimming pools, with concentrations as low as 0.015 mg per liter of water (15 billion parts per billion).

According to the British Medical Journal, 500PPM of silver sol was used to treat stomatitis diarrhea. Coexisting E. coli was killed within 10 seconds, and all microorganisms were killed within 6 minutes. The dose is 1 or 2 drachmas or more (about 7.5 ml), 2-3 times a day. Even in patients with a body temperature exceeding 101 degrees Fahrenheit and nearly dead, within 76-118 hours, stools are formed without foam.

Sepsis is caused by infectious injury or childbirth. Without antibiotics, severe patients often die, and the dead are always women. In 1996, the Journal of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists published a paper describing the treatment of sepsis with colloidal silver. One of them was intravenously injected with 5 ml. Within 3 days, the patient's temperature decreased and the symptoms were relieved. In another patient, 5 ml of colloidal silver was intravenously injected every 48 hours for a total of 3 times. After 10 days, she recovered and was discharged. In another case of severe sepsis, colloidal silver was injected twice a day for 24 hours, and her temperature and other symptoms returned to normal after 48 hours.

Third, long-term

The particle size and dispersion of silver are as important as, or even more important than, the concentration of silver. In the liquid, silver is not actually dissolved in the liquid, but is present in the liquid in the form of suspended particles. The ideal colloidal silver should have a particle diameter of less than 0.1 microns (1 micron = 10-6 meters), preferably between 0.001 and 0.01 microns. With such a small size, each silver particle is a microcluster formed by 5-20 silver atoms with a positive charge. Since the particles are small and the charged particles can repel each other, the silver particles can be suspended in the water without gravity, for months or even years. Since each particle contains 5-20 silver atoms, as time passes, a single silver atom gradually falls off from the microcluster and is slowly released, which acts as a continuous sterilization.
