New eco-friendly textile testing standards come into effect

After three months, the new eco-friendly textile testing standards and limit values ​​announced by the International Environmental Textile Association finally came into effect on April 1. The inspection and quarantine department reminded relevant textile export enterprises that this should be taken seriously. It is understood that the new version of the standard for the supervision of PFOA perfluorooctanoic acid will be more stringent, at the same time, four kinds of long-chain perfluorinated compounds will be added to the new standard of inspection catalog, the limit value and perfluorooctanoic acid the same.

The new standard will impose stricter regulations on PFOA perfluorooctanoate. At the same time, four types of long-chain perfluorinated compounds will be added to the new standard's survey list, with the same value as perfluorooctanoic acid. The issuance of the new standard shows that the International Environmental Textile Association fully supports the European Initiative for Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) and actively supports and assists global brand owners and retailers in achieving complete elimination of harmful chemicals throughout the entire production process by 2020.
