British scientists have developed a groundbreaking new fabric derived from a tea vat, which is now gaining attention as a revolutionary material in the fashion industry. This innovative textile, created by planting a special type of fabric in a tea-based solution, offers a leather-like texture while remaining incredibly lightweight. Made from a blend of green tea, sugar, and other nutrients, the fabric is grown over several days. Scientists introduce bacteria into the nutrient-rich mixture, allowing them to produce long cellulose fibers. These fibers naturally form a thin, flexible film on the surface of the liquid. Once dried, the film becomes a transparent, paper-like material that resembles cellophane. However, this transparent fabric can be further processed, dyed, and molded to achieve different textures and appearances, making it highly versatile for fashion applications.
